“المرصد الوطني للسلامة المرورية” في JUSTICIA يشارك في لجنة الأشغال النيابية ويعارض تحويل الاعتمادات من السلامة المرورية إلى صيانة طرقات!
عقدت لجنة الأشغال العامة والنقل والطاقة والمياه جلسة بتاريخ ٢٠ أيلول برئاسة النائب سجيع عطية، وممثلين للادارات المعنية والجمعيات الأهلية.
بحثت اللجنة مخاطر السلامة المرورية الحوادث الكثيرة والمرشحة للتزايد على ابواب الشتاء وأنشأت لجنة فرعية مختصة بعضوية مدير مرصد السلامة المرورية في مؤسسة JUSTICIA.
شارك في الإجتماع مدير “المرصد” الأستاذ كامل إبراهيم وألقى مداخلة حول الواقع المأساوي للسلامة المرورية في لبنان ورأى ان معالجة هذه المشكلة بحاجة الى استراتيجية وطنية للسلامة المرورية مرتكزة على تشخيص علمي لواقع الصدامات المرورية.
ومن جهة أخرى، أبدى المرصد معارضته سعي وزارة الأشغال لإلغاء الاعتماد المخصص للاستراتيجية الخاصة بالسلامة المرورية وتحويله إلى صيانة الطرقات الذي وإن حصل نخشى أن يتم بشكل عشوائي ويحرم لبنان من أول استراتيجية للسلامة المرورية في تاريخه.
The committee on Public Works, Transport, Energy and Water, held a meeting on the 20th of September under the chairmanship of Deputy Sajih Attiya, the meeting tageted the issue of road safety and the ascending numbers of road crashes and all possible solutions.
Representatives from relevant public administrations and NGOs attended the meeting.
The Committee discussed the risks of road safety, the numerous crashes that are likely to increase in winter season, and has established a specialized subcommittee with the membership of the Director of the National Road Safety Observatory at Justicia Mr. kamel Ibrahim who raised the issue of prioritizing road safety. The director of the observatory opposed the transfer of credits from Road safety strategy project to road maintenance as the minister of public works suggested. There are serious concerns and fears that such demand will be done randomly thus depriving Lebanon from the opportunity to own a national strategy for the first.
Mr. Ibrahim, said that any recommendations not considering a national strategy into account and not based on scientific diagnosis of reality of traffic collisions will not be considered sustainable and will be non efficient.
